How should I prepare my mix?

What is stereo mastering?

Stereo mastering is the final stage between the approved mix and release. It refines tonal balance, dynamics, level, translation and final presentation while preserving the intention of the mix.

Can mastering repair a poor mix?

Mastering can improve balance, clarity, level and translation, but it cannot completely replace mixing. Significant problems with individual instruments, vocals or effects are normally best corrected in the mix first.

What stereo files will I receive?

Deliverables depend on the selected service and may include high-resolution archive masters, 24-bit release masters, 16-bit masters, MP3 reference files and additional production formats where required.

The preferred delivery is normally an approved ADM BWF or the agreed Dolby Atmos project package, together with a stereo reference, project notes and accurate metadata.
